Brief DescriptionA souvenir in the shape of a birch bark canoe model. The keel and stems are lined with dried grass sewn on with a whipstitch. A rectangle of leather is attached to the keelson with three rivets. On the leather is glued a very faded pgotograph of a street with some people walking along it. 'Trail BC' is printed on the photo. Between the canoe and photo the leather is inscribed with the word 'souvenir'. The bottom of the leather in cut into strips and decorated with glass beads in pink, white, and light and dark blue. A double leather band tied to a perforation in the prow and stern, presumably meant to hang up the object, is also decorated with pink white and light blue beads.
