| Brief Description | Large tobacco pipe in bamboo with pokerwork decoration. The pipe is cylindrical and quite long and wide, with a round hole at one end, a shallow bowl-shape at the other and a very small round hole beneath with no attachment. The decorated section consists of large concentric circles with smaller concentric circles in panels on either side bordered by a double row of teeth. There is a single ring of plaited vegetable fibre round the shaft above the design. A large crack runs down the shaft along with a large loss. The letter "B" is written in black ink beneath the hole on the shaft - the letter "A" is written in black ink on the other end of the shaft. There are two small white labels attached, one with the "ABDUA:1680" number and the other with the old number "86+2A" written in black pen. |
