'The Bishop's Tomb'. Left side collonade leading to stairway and gothic arched window, in right of foreground, tomb of Bishop Elphinstone. Various fish swim over surface of painting. Unglazed. Barrett-Ayres was head of the Dept of Music Aberdeen University until c.1982.

The Bishops Tomb. The painting is based on Debussy's 'La cathédrale engloutie' (The Sunken Cathedral).
