ActivityAberdeenshire Cricket Club was formed by a committee of trustees, including Charles, Marquis of Huntly, and William Edward Nicol, in 1897. Land was purchased and a pavilion built. The constitution allowed for Playing, Ordinary, Honorary and Temporary Members, and in its revised version of 1947 it also allowed for officers of the Army, Navy or Royal Air Force stationed nearby to be temporary members for a month at a time. The Club colours were Oxford and Cambridge Blue separated by a narrow yellow stripe.
