ActivityFollowing the death in 1898 of Duncan Collie, superintendent, Aberdeen Post Office, who had edited the annual Post Office Directory for forty-five years, the postmen of the city decided to compile, publish and sell the Directory themselves. To superintend the work of publication, the postmen appointed a Post Office Directory Committee. The Directory was still being published in the 1980s.
