Brief Description1/2 portrait of James Fraser turning slightly to his left, with head towards viewer. Long grey periwig, wearing blue coat, white cravat and a waistcoat, on a brown background. Portrait seems to be painted on a wooden board and it is mounted in a gilded wooden oval mount. The frame is carved wood and has the family crest at the top and an engraved thistle at each miter. There is a name tag also engraved with the sitter's name. a beaded decoration surround the picture and the name Hilda is engraved at the bottom of the frame. Fraser gained his LLd in recognition of his gifts to the College. Fraser was a Secretary of the Chelsea Hospital and was Librarian to the King.
