Brief Description | Calcined, broken, bobbin-shaped bead with central perforation. A collared urn was found by Leslie Mutch, the 9 year old son of Mr and Mrs Mutch who farmed the Mains of Carnousie. Contents of the urn included this broken bead or toggle, some pieces of charcoal, fragments of human bone and an 'incense cup' (ABDUA: 19743). This bead is very similar to that found in an urn at Seggiecrook (see ABDUA: 14830 for the Seggiecrook bead). |
