Brief DescriptionModel eye apparatus showing working of spectacles. Brass with glass lenses behind pupil and frosted-glass screen at back of 'eyeball'. Concave and convex lenses mounted in front of eye on an arm attached to stand. Shows the image formation on the retina (modelled by the ground glass screen). A small lever below the eyeball can make the eye long-sighted or short sighted and the application of the correct spectacle lens can be seen to bring the image on the rear screen back into focus.
