The arms of Menzies of Pitfodels, first recorded 1672. The blazon (heraldic description) is Ermine, a chief gules (white ermine fur below, with the uppr portion red), and for crest A demi-eagle with wings expanded Proper ("proper" being in natural colours). The M of P motto is MALO MORI QUAM FOEDARI (I would rather die than be disgraced). |
