Activity | Andrew Urquhart was born in 1805, a son of the manse in Kilburnie. He graduated MA from Glasgow University in 1824, and was licenced in 1828. In 1832 he was ordained assistant and successor to Archibald Blair Campbell in the parish of Portpatrick. In the Disruption of 1843 he adhered to the Free Church and became Free Church minister of Portpatrick. He completed the New Statistical Account for his area, and died in 1890. |
