ActivityAnnie Grey was born in Edinburgh in the late 19th century, the daughter of Alexander Grey, MRCVS. She was educated in Edinburgh and London, and at the Royal Academy of Music. She specialised in oratorio and ballad singing, and illustrated lectures by Professor J.S. Blackie on Scottish song, a form on which she then concentrated. She married a man named Wade, and died in the early twentieth century.
