ActivityCAROLINE'S ENTRY BLYTH/BLYTHE?Charles Blyth (d 1904), farmer, Barberfield farm, near Haddington, East Lothian, became tenant of Barberfield farm in 1904 in partnership with his brother-in-law, William Millar, draper, Tranent. In 1928, Blyth took on the lease of the neighbouring Heathery Hall Farm. Previously he had been a farm overseer in Muirkirk, Ayrshire. Charles Blyth died in 1949 when the business passed to his sons and daughters. The family purchased Barberfield and Heatheryhall farms on the sale of the Clarkington Estate in 1951.
