Activity | Charles James McCall, DA (Edin), ROI, NEAC (1907-1989) was an Edinburgh-born and -trained painter, who lived and worked in London from the end of the Second World War until his death in 1989. He exhibited widely and regularly and was a popular, respected and much-collected artist. Mrs McCall, who was herself latterly press officer and a Companion of the New English Art Club, devoted herself to the tireless promotion of her husband's career and reputation both during his life and posthumously, and contributed largely to his success. |
