Activity | Joseph Macleod ['Adam Drinan'] (b 1903), poet, was born on 24 April 1903 in Ealing, Middlesex, of Scottish parents. He was educated at Rugby and at Balliol College, Oxford. He qualified as a lawyer in 1928 but never practiced. He was devoted to theatre, radio and films. In the 1940's he began composing poetry on Scottish themes under the pseudonym 'Adam Drinan'. He retired to Italy. |
