ActivityThe Scottish Labour History Society was formed in 1961 with the aim of promoting the study, discussion and publication of the history of Scottish, British and International labour and working class movements, organisations and individuals. The society holds conferences, produces publications, organises projects and exhibitions. At least two conferences are held each year; in Glasgow in March and Edinburgh in October. The 'Scottish Labour History Journal' has been published annually and from 1987 the society introduced the 'Scottish Labour History Review' magazine. In 1997 the two publications were merged to become 'Scottish Labour History'.
