Activity | Dr Thomas Douglas MacDonald (1906-1975), was born in Montrose, Angus. He gained his teaching qualifications in Aberdeen and taught in Gairloch, Wester Ross and in Palestine. In 1929 he studied Gaelic at Glasgow University and between 1939-1961 was headmaster of various schools in the Highlands and Western Isles.
