ActivityLt-Gen Sir David Henderson, KCB KCVO DSO (1862-1921), was the son of David Henderson of Glasgow. He entered the army in 1883, becoming a captain in 1890. Henderson served in the Soudan and in the Second World War, during which he received many decorations and was promoted to Maj-Gen and then Lt-Gen. Henderson was Director-General of Military Aeronautics, 1913-1918. He married Henrietta Caroline Dundas in 1895. His publications include: The Art of Reconnaissance, 1907.
