ActivityDavid Angus (1855-1926), civil engineer, spent most of his career in South America- Argentine, Uraguay, Paraguay and Chile, and was involved in railway and harbour construction. Angus worked on the Victoria and Natividade Railway in Brazil, 1882-1884, and surveyed a railway from Swakopamund to Otavi in Namibia, 1892-1893. He was the manager of the Arauco mining company in Chile, 1894-1909. He married Mary Wilson and they had several children, the eldest was called Nancy W Angus, and their other daughters were, Anne Proctor, June Stevenson, and Jean Tatham.
