Activity | Kenneth White, poet and writer, was born in Glasgow on 28 April 1936. He was educated at the University of Glasgow, MA 1959, and the Universities of Munich and Paris. He was a lecturer in English at the Institut Charles V, Paris, 1969-1983 and Professor of 20th Century Poetics, Sorbonne, University of Paris, from 1983. White has published 11 collections of poetry and 6 novels and was awarded the Grand Prix de Rayonnement by the French Academy in 1985. |
