ActivityOn 6 May 1811 a meeting of trustees was held in Laurencekirk, Kincardineshire, to discuss building a bridge over the North Esk near the village of Marykirk. The clerk and treasurer was John Brand, writer in Stonehaven, and an Act of Parliament was secured providing for the neighbouring ferry of Craigo to be closed down. The bridge was completed in 1813.
