ActivityThe Reverend David Inglis (1771 - 1837) was born in Dairsie, Fife, and educated in King's College, Aberdeen. He was licenced by the Presbytery of Cupar in 1803 and was ordained minister at Lochlee in the presbytery of Brechin on 18 September 1806. He married in 1801 and died in January 1837. The Reverend Robert Inglis (1803 - 1876) was David's son. He was born at Glamis and ordained minister at Lochlee on 8 June 1837. He was translated from Lochlee to Edzell in 1841. He joined the Free Church in 1843 and was minister of the Free Church in Edzell until his death. His son, Colonel Robert Inglis (1843 - 1923), gifted the Inglis Memorial Hall to the Parish Council of Edzell as a memorial to his parents.
