| Activity | The Scottish Lawn Tennis Association was formed on 11 June 1895 although tennis had been played in Scotland since the 1870s. Many clubs were founded in the 1880s in Scotland, but not all survived for very long. The minutes of the Forfarshire Lawn Tennis Association in 1887 show that an Arbroath club was in existence at that time. |
