| Activity | Major George Erskine-Jackson of Kirkbuddo held the lands of Kirkbuddo jointly with his uncle, Major-General William Jackson of Kirkbuddo (1830 - ). The Erskine family received a grant of the lands of Kirkbuddo in 1543. Major Erskine-Jackson was a writer to the Signet, and had been awarded the OBE and the Military Cross. He died some time before December 1945, at which date his sister was distributing the books from his estate. |
