Activity | The Businessmen’s Social Club met in the Small Hall of the Mechanics’ Institute until 1922, when 25, Church Street, Brechin, was made into club premises and occupied by what was now the Brechin City Club until 1967. The rules and regulations for 1950 state that the membership not exceed eighty, sixty-five coming from the town itself and fifteen from the country. The entrance fee was £1 1/-. The club had a card room, newspapers and books were provided and alcohol sold. |
