ActivityGlasgow University Ossianic Society was active, 1831-1923. It was started by Rev Dr Norman MacLeod. The club records were initially only kept in gaelic but from Nov 1892, english was also used. The meetings were opened and closed with prayer. The society held regular debates with occasional symposium, concerts, socials and and annual reunion and dance and an annual picnic. The society's aims were the discussion of subjects of interest to Celtic students and the promotion of social intercourse amongst members of the society.
