ActivityNorman Hogg was born in Aberdeen in 1907 and was apprenticed as a baker. Later he became involved in union activity, and was full-time organiser for the Scottish Union of Confectionery and Bakery Workers. He served as Lord Provost of Aberdeen from 1964 to 1967 and was a council member for 23 years. He was also a JP. He was awarded an honorary LLD by Aberdeen University, on whose court he had served, in 1967. He died in 1975.
