ActivityWalter Chalmers Smith Angus was born in 1893, a son of the Free Church manse in Stirling. He graduated MA from Edinburgh University in 1914 and saw First World War service in India, Mesopotamia and Persia until 1919. He then attended New College, Edinburgh, and was ordained and inducted to the parish of Old Deer in 1924. He moved to Aberdeen High United Free Church in 1927, in which year he married. He was translated to Broughty Ferry West in 1938, now a minister in the Church of Scotland following the reunification of 1929. In 1949 he moved to the parish of Stenton in the presbytery of Haddington and Dunbar, where he died in 1956.
