Activity | Toc H was established in Talbot House in Poperinge, Belgium. The house was used as a haven of peace by commonwealth troops during World War I. The house became known as 'T.H.' which was 'Toc H' in the signallers language. Subsequently Toc H developed into a world wide organisation concerned with Christian values, breaking down the barriers between people and with community work. Toc H received a royal charter in 1922 and remains active. The Inverness group was formed by Alastair Ross in 1932 who also served as secretary. |
