ActivityPauline Cameron-Head (1917-1994) was born in Glasgow on 21 August 1917. She was educated at Stover School in Devon. After the war she became a teacher. In 1942 she married Francis Cameron-Head (d 1957), Laird of Lochailort. Pauline Cameron-Head was an Inverness County Councillor and member of various National Health bodies. She was especially interested in promoting health and welfare services, particularly child care. For many years she made her house and grounds available for children's camps. Inverailort House was used as a training centre for Special Operations during World War II. She was also a Deputy Lieutenant and a Justice of the Peace for Inverness-shire and was awarded an OBE in 1971. She died on 22 June 1994, aged 76.
