ActivityThe Roxburgh Singers were formed in 1962, in Hawick, by Eric Whitehead, who was the Music Adviser to the County of Roxburgh. The original group of sixteen singers developed into a choir of 30 members, who sing all over the Borders. After the death of Mr Whitehead, Brian Bonsor, Music Adviser for Borders Region, took over as conductor and the choir increased to 50 members. Their current director and conductor, who took over in 1982, is Garrett O'Brien. The President is the Earl of Dalkeith.
