ActivityThe Kelso Bridge was administered by a group of Trustees. It was built in 1803 by John Rennie, who is said to have used it as a test exercise for Waterloo Bridge. The bridge which had five spans was built across the river Tweed. In 1854 there were riots when they tried to re-impose tolls.
