| Brief Description | Painting of the Doge's Palace in Venice, viewed from the water. A gondola with blue and yellow striped canopy can be seen at the canal edge, in front of the building. The gondolier talks to a small group of peope at the waters edge, whilst a larger group of people gather to the right of the composition. The palace is depicted in pink/ red, with the colonnade undeneath in a cream hue. Two smaller buildings in red/ brown can also be seen to the right of the composition. |
