Brief DescriptionFragment of statuette of the High Priest of Ptah, Pedu_pe, incised inscription between hands and on base. The statue represents Padipep as a scribe with crossed legs and a sheet of papyrus, which is inscribed, stretched between his arms. Priest sits on an inscribed base.
Content DescriptionText between the arms is translated to: Haty-a Great (one) (and) leader of the craftsmen (I.e. High Priest) of Ptah, Prophet of Bastet, Lady of Ankh.Tawy (Memphite Necropolis), Prophet of Mut, The foremost of the Two Horns of the Gods (a Memphite toponym), Padipep. On the upper side of the base, ".... of craftsmen in the double chamber, keeper of the diadem of the god, Padipep, Justified. see full translation and transliteration in object file.
