Murchison Field Development Preliminary Upending Study Preliminary study with the purpose of determining the method of upending the Murchison jacket structure when launched from the heavy lift barge on site. Upending is achieved by the controlled flooding of selected compartments of the jacket to move it from a static position on the surface to a position standing upright on the seabed. March 1977
