According to a note made by the transcriber he commanded the following ships:

Barquentine "Matagorda" 1870
Barque "St George" 1872
Ship "Colonial Empire" 1873
Ship "Gosshawke" 1876
Barque "Perseverance" 1881
Ship "Invercauld" 1882
Ship "Moy of London" 1885.
