Journals Series of journals kept by Sir Alexander Ogston during his travels overseas on a personal and professional basis. Three journals record his visits on holiday to Greece (1881), Norway (1882) and Russia (1898-1900); the latter volume also containing sketches of his trip to South Africa in 1894. Four volumes contain a detailed account of his experiences during the Boer War (1899-1900) and in Serbia and Italy during the First World War (1915-1917). 1881 - 1917
