Notebook includes very specific and detailed lesson planning for lessons in Herring-boning, Flannel patching, Calico patching, Print patching, loops and eyelet holes, lessons in marking fabrics, sewing of an unpierced linen button and button holing. At the back there are instructions for a knitted shawl, the Greek alphabet and various sums and handwriting practice. There are two inserts of handwritten syllabuses for the same cookery course (1st course); first is complete and the second is incomplete and in a different hand. The syllabuses detail the lesson number, the method of cooking, the theory and the illustrative dish.</dc:description>
