It is divided into: Introduction, which describes the field and the development programme; Project Characteristics, which describes all the platforms, including MCP-01, the pipelines and the St Fergus terminal; Route Selection and Marine Survey; Pipeline Design; Pipeline Constructions; Intermediate and Treatment Platforms; Shore Terminal. These sections all include the specifications, construction methods and functions of the equipment and facilities.
