Letter from Adams to John Hargreaves Rather here than anywhere else... recovering from a serious infection to the thumb and middle finger of her right hand. Has not rained for three weeks and the maize is wilting or dying. The fast-month begins next month in the village which only adds to general weariness of the village. However she is happier here and has confidence in her work being done there. Delighted that Roy Bridges has been made head of History at Aberdeen. 15 August 1977
