Letter to the General from Brigadier-General Stewart Forwarding a copy of a new declaration sent into Rosetta, stating that an alliance had been concluded with the Mamelouks and repeating the assurance that on surrender all the Albanians would be repatriated. States his doubts, with the force under his command, of being able to capture Rosetta without heavy casualties. Suggests that it might have been better first to have attacked Fort St Julian and worked up river to meet the Mamelouks. April 13th 1807
