  <dc:description>The collection consists of about 280 slides dating from the late nineteenth century-early twentieth century, taken by Jean A Callender (about 200 slides) and about 80 slides, formerly the property of Henry Alexander. 1 or 2 slides attribute Alex Ledingham as the photographer. The slides mainly feature mountain ranges and landscape views. However subjects also include members of the club climbing and travelling to events on various railways. Collection also includes digitised versions of the lantern slides in black and white and colour. The majority of the lantern slides date from 1889 - 1930. </dc:description>
