Frank Ashcroft, M.A., 121 George Street, Edinburgh, attempting to clear up a confusion over a gift of money raised to give Robert Laws on his jubilee, which his daughter had travelled to Edinburgh to collect, which was wrongly reported in the newspaper as being a gift for the college in Livingstonia but was actually for his personal use [two copies of parts of letter, the first in one hand and shorthand (possibly a draft by Robert Laws himself), the second in a late 20th century hand with the shorthand parts translated]. 9 December 1925
