Letter from J.K. Weston, Department of Anatomy, Temple University, Philadelphia, 7 August 1939, expressing his pleasure that Dr Crosby's sabbatical is turning out well and regretting that he has no post-graduate students in anatomy who would be interested in studying abroad at present.

Letter from Professor Tryphenea Humphrey, M.D., University of Alabama Medical Center, thanking Lockhart for hospitality extended to Professor Crosby and herself during their recent visit to Aberdeen, 9 October 1965. Mentions Dr. G.A.C. Mitchell and Professor Abbie (Sydney, Australia) [both of these names recur elsewhere in Lockhart's papers].

Correspondence between Lockhart, Dr Elizabeth Crosby, University of Alabama, Dr T. Humphrey, University of Alabama and others, re. academic visit to the University of Alabama and attendance at the annual meeting of the American Anatomical Association at the University of Kansas, including invitation to speak at the Cajal Club Meeting, '... which is the large, special neuroanatomy group session on the day immediately preceding the opening of the Association', June 1966 - August 1967. 

Typed copy of Dr Frederick Lanchester's paper, 'Directional Fixivity and the Transitory Visual Impression or Fleeting Image', with introduction and biographical notes prepared by Lockhart. With covering letter, discussing publication details, correspondence with Dr Lanchester, thanking Dr Crosby for her hospitality and describing his last University lecture, 17 August 1967.

Programme of 'The Distinguished Faculty Lecturer Award', University of Alabama Medical Center, 15 April 1974, at which Professor Crosby was presented with the award and gave a speech entitled 'Our Curious Cortex.' A biographical sketch is also included in the programme, outlining her academic achievements.

Press-cutting of Professor Crosby receiving the 1979 National Medal of Science from President Carter, at the Whitehouse, Washington, 14 January 1979, published in 'Corpus Christi Caller', 15 January 1980. Annotated in Lockhart's hand (elderly):  'Britain, October 1939 and June 1940. Prof Crosby in her sabbatical year from Ann Arbour taught in the Aberdeen University Anatomy Department: both histology and neurology.'
