  <dc:title>To Sir W. Forbes, from Aberdeen</dc:title>
<dc:description>Just received Forbes's two letters of 16 April enclosing two from Lord Hailes. Thanks for their good opinion of him. Replies to the accusations in Lord Hailes's letter of obstinacy and fear. All his English friends and many in Scotland approve his conduct and reasons. If he were convinced that it was his duty to move to Edinburgh he would set out immediately. But he can do more in Aberdeen than he would in Edinburgh</dc:description>
