<dc:title>To Margaret Valentine from Fulham Palace</dc:title>
<dc:description>Sorry to hear of her poor health. Country air with goat's milk of Dunkeld should set her up. The Bishop and Mrs Porteus are very fond of Montagu and as usual he gets on easily with everyone in the family. Knowing Montagu's partiality for the Church of England, the Bishop will confirm him privately in a day or two. Beattie sent Dr Dun a copy of Dr Gregory's letter and has had a reasonable answer. Beattie has given Dun a very particular account of Montagu's reception in England which should satisfy him that Beattie has influence outside Aberdeen. </dc:description>
