<dc:title>To Sir William Forbes from Aberdeen</dc:title>
<dc:description>He had hoped to visit Forbes with James Hay Beattie, but in the last fortnight his son has become much weaker and is now attacked with a cough. Dr Dun went yesterday on a mysterious expedition to Edinburgh with Mr Strachan, a local minister. He believes that his purpose is to visit Musselburgh. Dun told Beattie's niece that Mrs Beattie's situation was uncomfortable among strangers. Means of recovery was denied to her, and she was not allowed to see company. Beattie fears Dun wants to board her with Mr Strachan, which would be ruinous to the poor sufferer herself as well as to Beattie. Beattie must now leave it to Forbes and Mr Stewart to take such measures as to prevent Beattie's fears. Beattie has a great regard for Dun and has tried to live with him on pretty good terms. </dc:description>
