To Sir William Forbes, Edinburgh, from Aberdeen Encloses pamphelet on Psalmody and asks Forbes to read it and then send it to Blair. Explains what led to it [as in letter MS 30/1/139]. To explain his scheme, and to excuse himself for undertaking it at Blair request, which would be madness in his present state of health, he wrote the little pamphelet. Forbes will se reason for printing it in letter. If he likes, Beattie will send Forbes a copy by the first opportunity. 21 June 1778
