<dc:title>To William Cameron, Edinburgh, from Aberdeen</dc:title>
<dc:description>Thanks for his letter [MS 30/2/244]. Would have answered before but for health and press of business. Is honoured by Cameron's spirited poem. Poetical composition improves daily, but some passages not quite clear. Objections on Essay which Camerons mentions have often been urged by Edinburgh critics. Some approve Essay on Truth even in Edinburgh, but the number of infidels is greater in Edinburgh than any other part of Great Britain. Warns Camereron to be on guard against them. New publication going out of Beattie's hands. Volume of esays chiefly on criticism. Friends have desired him to defer answer to Priestly.</dc:description>
