Extract from records of the Senate of the University of Glasgow, by Patrick Wilson clerk to the Senatus Dr Reid had intimated to the Senate that his daughter, widow of Dr Patrick Carmichael, physician in Glasgow, had presented to the College a collection of medical and other books with a catalogue of the 386 volumes complied by Dr Reid; Mrs Carmichael is thanked; the books are to be placed "in the publick library" of the College. 1 February 1793
