Raithe, written to the Great Seal 29 Jan. 1617 J.Scott) of resignation or confirmation granted at Edinburgh on behalf of James VI in favour of Alex. Fraser, now of Cairnbulg, formerly of Durris, in liferent, and his eldest son, Robert Fraser & his heirs male in fee, respecting toun and lands of Cairnbulg etc. in barony of Phillorth, and to Robert Fraser the toun & lands of Innernorth, mill and mill lands of Phillorth etc., as held by Thomas Peirie, with Tillitinthill, Bruxie, Ardleyis, Bogheid, Cowburtie, Brigend, Badizell, etc. part of faithlie, part of Fraserburgh with "water and windingline", Kirkton of Phillorth, etc., reserving to Alex. Fraser the tower and fortalice of Fraserburgh - boundaries given. Lands resigned into hands of immediate superior (? Simon, Lord Fraser of Lovat and Alex.
